Why is Missile Testing that Important for Window Film?

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four; calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."

Abraham Lincoln

It occurs to me that some additional explanation might be in order to explain why we seem so focused on a missile test that VISTA does pass and that my former employer, 3M competition does not.

Awwwwww

Our diagnosis is to tell the truth!

Adding to that misleading scenario would be their showing that outdated (rippy-rippy) tear test that creates the illusion that these thinner films "ultra" are stronger than any "standard" polyester film can possibly equal!

That has spurred us into action.

We acknowledge that their 4 and 5 ML films may be stronger than standard 4 ml thick films.

SO WHAT!

Guess what??  We are not installing any 4 ml films on homes in Florida.

Rather we are installing 8 ML VISTA Films that pass the ASTM 1886 test that their 4, 5 and 6 ML films fail.  We are installing Lumenesse that passes as opposed to prestige films that fail.  We are installing Armorcoat that passes while all 3M solar security films are too weak to pass.

VISTA PASS

Advanced Film Solutions doesn't expect that we should win on this one issue alone, no matter how compelling an issue this might be; or how relevant it is for homeowners.

We win based upon the entire product portfolio and the effectiveness of our solutions! We don't have to make things up or rip film. .as if. .

So. .
