The Skyway Strikes Again
We have a picture of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at the top of this Blog page. It symbolizes Tampa Bay and take my word for it ; driving over that bridge is a unque experience!
Yesterday morning while crossing the bridge I noticed a parked car on the right with a patrol car behind it. No driver. As I passed I noticed another patrol car heading backwards in the right hand lane at a fairly rapid speed. I peeled to the left to avoid him.
Evidently this is the Number One Suicide Spot in Florida. .just park and. .
It was immediately obvious that someone had just decided to end it all!
Turns out there were two!!
Before Friday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said, there have been 44 suicide attempts at the bridge since 2002. Three people have survived.
