Perhaps..

Having done that rippy-rippy "tear test" a few thousand times, let's just say that the irony isn't completely lost on me!

Important questions:

Does the micro-layering of 3M's ultra 4 and 5 ml films window film make it stronger or "better" than our Vista Window Films Armorcoat, Madico or Lumenesse Nano-ceramic films?

Does the fact that 3M makes unrelated products have anything at all to do with improved window film performance or the aesthetic qualities of their film?

And finally; are these window films worth paying a premium for well above the investment for Advanced Film Solutions?

Micro-layering versus 8 ML thick VISTA or Lumenesse Clear Ceramic:

We pass the impact test and cycling test ASTM 1886 (4.5 Lb) they do not in any of their solar film versions.

The tear resistance of 28 layers is not puncture resistant enough to pass the impact or cycling tests on the exact same windows as our Lumenesse, VISTA and Armorcoat (8 ML) passes!
