SEMA - The "Industry" Get Together

If the window film business can be termed an industry than the its' Mecca is 
SEMA in Las Vegas.



Many of our window film associates will be attending the event and we await their reporting on anything "new" for 2008.

My perspective is naturally somewhat different than most window film dealers.  I can't think of any dealer in the USA that is being run by a former National Sales Manager of one of the window film manufacturer's (3M Window Film.)  I did meet Jim Black from Solargard earlier in 2007 and he had tried his hand at being a dealer in Temecula, CA. but evidently missed the corporate world (are you kidding me?!) and returned to the
Solargard Armorcoat world.

There is a profound difference between representing window film on a local level versus being a corporate representative.  The true battle is in the home or office of someone who has an immediate problem that requires a film solution. The choice by the consumer as to which dealer to employ is ultimately a question of trust and capability.

Our VISION at
Advanced Film Solutions remains unchanged:

1. Offer the best solutions to the specific problems our prospective clients have with their homes or cars.


Never push a client in any particular direction because you have more inventory of one product type or another.

2. Understand the Features, Advantages and Benefits of our selections versus our competitors.  In other words we  know more about our competition's product line than the competitive dealers we face every day. That's particularly true for our
ScotchTint and Scotchshield friends...eh? I wasn't asleep for 33 years was I?

3. Never exaggerate or offer misleading promises concerning our film's performance. If we say our films have passed that missile test than offer the actual test report!

4. Resolve any issues and always be courteous and punctual. Never dismiss or duck a question. Consultative selling means resolving problems, not selling snake oil at a carnival. Never use high pressure tactics.

5. Stay flexible and remain open to new solutions and technologies when and if they become available.

 

Above all Business Ethics are critical to Advanced Film Solutions. It's in our DNA as a company.
