Clinton Climate Initiative- Window Film's Latest Spiel

It's particularly amusing to watch the window film manufacturers scurry around trying to get some bounce from
President Clinton's Climate Initiative.

Here's
Solar Gard extolling their virtue, and

Here's
3M proudly extolling their virtue and caring.

Can the rest of the herd be very far behind??

I wonder if the former President is trying to assist his spouse by greening politics? D'ya think that's possible?? Hmmmm?

Nah. .Bill would never do that- -would he?

It's better I leave that possibility to political pundits.
So now we have two companies  making it seem that they were hand selected by Bill and only they can  handle this noble purpose.

Now even one of their
dealers takes it to the next logical conclusion. . .evidently implying they had something to do with all of this??  Golly- -thanks guys!!

Allow me to get just a tiny bit serious here for a moment.

The use of window films to reduce energy consumption is a proved method of Greening the commercial and residential buildings in the USA.

For the most part, low income homes and inner city buildings would certainly benefit from installing these type of energy reducing films. Perhaps these manufacturer's might like to use their good offices to assist these low income property owners??  Low income Grants??  HELLO!!

No. . I think not.

So until that day comes we anxiously await the next "hand selected" window film manufacturer to announce their distinct honor to be selected speech!

Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.

Here's my point.

The Clinton Climate Initiative is a good thing. The idea that major cities are responsible for a large majority of greenhouse emissions is realistic. Focusing on large city energy usage makes good sense. It's a noble purpose as a concept.

My only argument is that these companies can quietly improve their contribution to these greater good causes and try to limit their obvious self promotion and selling angles. That when they get involved in this type of "program" they might consider limiting their adjectives that clearly imply that only they were selected or that only they uniquely qualified.
