Hard Luck At The Tampa Hard Rock?
We posted this way back in November. It seems like our window film depot buddies have suddenly become very quiet. No blogs at all since they bragged about doing Army Recruiting offices back in December??
Their installer calling me up looking for a job. Seriously!
We heard that Budget Blinds has their own "private label" film?
Say it ain't so!

Wow. .evidently WindowFilm Depot beat VISTA at the Hard Rock Casino??
Say What???
I was so shocked at this news (since we had no idea the Hard Rock was looking at Vista Films!) I checked with VISTA to see if they might have known about this tragic loss?? Nope. .
I checked with the real 3M dealer in Tampa, Solar Security and yep. .they lost to a low bid by the Budget Blinds/Window Film Depot folks. So not to be "Swift Boated" . .(in honor of the Republican debate last night in St. Pete!) here's my Vista response (30 seconds. . .)
Having a string of 300 plus victories against 3M Films I am happy to report that Advanced Film Solutions sure as heck did not lose to the Atlanta 3M dealer, or their "proxy" budget blinds dealer here in Tampa Bay!
Now to be fair. .the Window Film Depot blog fails to explain why they won or mention Vista again in their entire blog entry, so allow me to explain why Advanced Film Solutions would not have lost had we known about the project!
Vista Films pass the ASTM 1886 4.5 LB 2X4 Missile Test and Cycling. The 3M film installed does not meet this standard. Small missile test?? C'mon. .that was passed in 1998 when the requirements were far less stringent.
The Vista Films are all available in 72 inch widths while the Budget Blinds Depot 3M film is max'ed out at 60 inches.
Vista offers two low interior reflective films while 3M Budget Blinds Depot only has a dark S25 low reflective choice.
If the Hard Rock was simply looking for a solar control film. .well. .Vista Film has more choices in visible light transmissions than any other window film manufacturer in the world.
At Advanced Film Solutions we hate to lose even if we weren't the guys who actually lost!!
So. .to borrow the depot pun. ."Why gamble on your window film installation?" call the window film experts, Advanced Film Solutions. We won't treat you like you are just "another chip" in a window film depot pile of chips. We will always treat you as our Valued Customer!
