Uncle Sam! ! What's Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander
Update from this posting in December.
The Times Square blast points out exactly what I was trying to explain 4 months ago. The recruiting stations were protected with shatter films while all of the stores adjacent to the offices, were not!
This truthfully continues to baffle me!

Please read this article about Army Recruiting stations throughout the USA
My issue is with the Army Recruiting offices that installed these blast films with no concern apparently for the numerous stores that neighbor these high profile potential terrorist targets.
If the US Government is worried enough about a terrorist bomb at a recruiting office. . .don't you suppose that the store (Subway shop, Hallmark, Dollar General- -or GOD FORBID a daycare center) might also get hit with that same blast???
DUH??
So. .
If you happen to own a store right next door or within a city block of an Army Recruiting Office TAKE NOTE!!
And frankly I couldn't care less which blast film you choose to have installed. .3M, LLumar, VISTA, Madico or Armorcoat. They all meet the GSA Fragment Retention Film Requirements with a proper anchoring system to hold the glass and film in place.
The Protecting People First folks have made this awareness communication (neighbors of a high profile target) the basis of their non profit group.
This wonderful organization was founded by the Mom of the little baby (Baylee) being held in the Fireman's arms after the Oklahoma City Federal Building (Murrah) blast.

Uncle Sam needs to protect our military recruiters but Uncle Sam also needs to let store owners know that if they are in proximity to these targets - -they will need the exact same level of protection!!
HELLO!!!
And that's my opinion
