The Happiest Of Holidays To You!
This has been a most interesting year for me. 33 years at 3M - -can you imagine that??
Unexpectedly in early 2007 we were faced with some hard choices about the future. (Thanks Ed at 3M AAD for giving someone else that job!!)
Frankly there were numerous opportunities to explore and for about ten minutes I seriously considered taking the job of World Sales Manager for Global Window Films. The problem?? Moving to Mumbai (Bombay) . .
Now. .folks. . with no offense to India- -but I would never move to St. Paul, Minnesota because (despite what many may think about my obsessive compulsive work ethic)
FAMILY is Number One!!
Plus. .
Being a corporate suit is, quite honestly, incredibly restricting for anyone with one ounce of creativity and enthusiasm. I know. .33 years!!!
My St. Paul buddies shouldn't be at all surprised by how frequently I hear from current 3M Dealers across the USA.
This week in particular; I had more conversations than I would typically get when I was the National Sales Manager of 3M Window Film. To all of you. .we wish you continued success; just as long as you don't compete against Advanced Film Solutions here in Orlando, Tampa or Sarasota- Bradenton, Florida.
To my dear friend Aaron Berg- -There is life after 3M and you know it! (Plus you really could have given a better presentation in San Diego!
To our customers at nearly 450 Prestige homes that we have completed and over 1000 cars we have installed our FormulaOne Window Films, we sincerely thank you for your trust in our Advanced Film Solutions.
We thank VISTA for letting their former adversary join forces with you to promote what is truly the best window film portfolio in the world. We look forward to attending our very first VISTA Meeting in January.
We thank Sam Levy and Huper Optik for their friendship and encouragement and for having their Nano-ceramic Window Film that are perfect for Deed Restricted communities.
We thank Ron Jones, Madico Inc. for his expertise and long friendship from back in the day at Accent Distributing.
We thank Rudy, Jason Rhodes, Gabe Scott, Mike Miley for their superior installation skills that back up our commitment to excellence.
I'd like to personally thank my son Adam for joining up with his OLD MAN in this family venture. Thank God he has my sense of humor. . and as any window film guy will tell you. .this is a requirement!
And of course I love you, Michele!
