Window Tinting Dealers React To Price Increases

Throughout the USA that low moan you may be hearing is coming from window tint shops who are getting their latest "sugar coated" price increase letters from their manufacturers or distributors. By sugar coated we refer to the typical corporate jargon of double talk euphemisms that tend to "pepper" their correspondence.
Let's leave aside the corporate marketing folks for the moment as they are always busy pretending they are doing something that's important. Lots of meetings with that Ad Agency, or PR folks, combined with power lunches and fictional links between some brochure and a recent isolated success.

This posting is about the predictable response by window film manufacturers to the rising fuel costs and higher logistical costs that are real combined with their overhead costs that are self inflicted. Who pays for their incompetence and failure to manage their own cost factors?
Why of course, YOU, their local independent window tint dealer!
Many dealers also face their deadline concerning a huge surcharge fee to stay part of a failed program. Your cut-off is . . .ah yes, today!
Let this serve as your final notice??
Here's my unbiased (yeah sure!) advice to you folks:
- Pay your prestige fee by the end of business today! Why make them follow up and force them to start threatening you overtly? They are already looking for additional dealers in your town. Not paying on time will make them even more motivated to mess with you.
- Pass on your price increase to your customers. After all your pricing is already higher than any other competitor for your "me too" films. Given that they are re-boxing so many of their products you should be happy to pay them for the trouble of re-spooling films onto their cores. Have you any idea how much rewinding films can cost them?
- Look; someone has to pay for that Google Pay per click. You know how many leads they send you every day! That's a huge cost factor. Oh that's right; you aren't getting any of those leads are you?? I wonder who is getting them??
Be quiet. Pay it today. .or else! And "by the way" STOCK UP!
