Just a brief update three months later.

Several of my dealer friends have "seen the light" and have moved toward window films that Advanced Film Solutions installs throughout Florida.



Many more are coming since they certainly recognize that consumers value documented performance rather than hype or pounding the BRAND. 

This has been compounded by the Brand's failure to provide material during this summer season, their continued failure to pass impact testing on the films they are most likely to propose (95% of their safety and security films do not pass Impact level B!)

My favorite competitor has telegraphed their dissatisfaction with their current distributor, which may soothe some hurt feelings but does very little to motivate their dealers. My bet is they want to open their own service center. How foolish!

We welcome all of our recent converts who have seen the light! As always, we will provide any assistance and training you may require as you make your transition.

There's absolutely nothing like listening to a window tint guy gripe about the "state of the world"!

Some of my peers would complain about the color of the check, if they won a million dollars in a lottery!!

Does your window film manufacturer or distributor have you coming and going??




So with consumers tightening their belts, and gas prices going through the roof, now seems like a great time for my window film friends to vent!!

But. .first things first.

Many of my buddies wanted to tell me how dangerous getting the Chicken Pox can be at MY ADVANCED AGE!!

Gee. .thanks guys!! I really needed these horror stories to fill my already crazed brain!!

The young fella we hired for the Summer told me his dad's friend went blind!

I waited a few minutes and when he came back to the shop I told him that I couldn't see and could he rush me to the ER??

He looked like he was about to faint!!

Back to the venting!!

Remember, every situation has a plus side (might be hard to find?) and the negative aspect that is testing your patience right now.

What you think initially as a bad thing, quite often opens up opportunities that until now you have not considered.

I'll admit that thinking like that is hard to do.

So when your manufacturer puts the squeeze on you, take that as an opportunity!

The great thing about being self employed is that you don't have to follow their ultimatums or listen to their baloney!!


Think for yourself. Consider all of your options.

Change can be difficult, but very often, when all is said and done...

Change can be a VERY GOOD THING!
