What might be the ideal window film?
How about a clear film that blocks all of the heat?
no such animal!
This article should explain how window film really tackles the IR and why some information out there is either intentionally or unintentionally (you pick!) misleading.
Part II
One "prestige film" offers that "they block 97% of the IR", yet their claim is only a fraction of the wavelengths between the two red arrows above!
