We are all busy and can get confused by contradictory claims that are made by competing window film companies.
That's certainly to be expected in any competitive environment and particularly where there is an abundance of choices!
Let me take off my Huper Optik and VISTA Window Film hat for a moment...

Let me take off my Huper Optik and VISTA Window Film hat for a moment...
Here are five OBJECTIVE Questions that you should ask the 3M or the INEVERHEARD of window film dealers.
- Do you have NFRC Certified window films? Don't buy any mumbling about how they haven't gotten to that quite yet!
- Does their "hurricane protection" impact film pass the missile test (4.5 Lb)
YES or NO?
If they fib and say "YES" ask for this report ASTM 1886 Pass Report. Is this test important? Of course it is!
- If they are proposing a non metallic non reflective window film ask them if their Prestige film qualifies for the TECO or Progress Energy window film rebates?
The answer is NO! - If they are promoting a tape anchoring system and tell you how strong this adhesive is, ask them for their GSA bomb blast tests using that tape?
Have them show you their ASTM 1886 B Pass (or failure) results using that tape system. - Ask them about their optical clarity, their haze, their rainbow effect on the film. If they claim there is no issue that they have ever heard about, don't fret about their memory loss- simply ask them to install a mock-up of their high end film and compare for yourself!
