Lumenesse The Clear Winner Versus Prestige
Let's get down to the CLEAR advantages of our Lumenesse Nano-Ceramic Films versus the 3M Prestige Ultra 70 multi-layered optical film.
Lumenesse Brochure
- The Lumenesse 8 ML thick hurricane strength version passes the ASTM 1886B Missile Test. The 3M Prestige film does not. Interestingly 3M has recently tested and passed using their Ultra 600 clear non solar property film.
- The Lumenesse 70 has a TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected) of 55% the 3M Ultra 600 offers no solar benefit.
Their Prestige 70 offers similar TSER as the Lumenesse 70 but does not meet the safety level of performance that Lumenesse Films have acquired. Thicker my friends is clearly safer and better!
- Lumenesse is optically clear and their is no haze effect or a rainbow look. Their Prestige Film? Ask a Prestige dealer for referrals and third party testimonials on their prestige series.
- The Lumenesse Films can't corrode. Prestige won't corrode. We'll call that a draw!
- Both Lumenesse and Prestige factor out 99.9% of the UV- A draw again!
- Lumenesse and Prestige meet all deed restrictions- Draw!
- Both Lumenesse and prestige factor out similar % of IR across the near and far IR spectrum.
- Both Lumenesse and Prestige work better at an angle; but so does glass itself. 3M thinks this is important for some reason; so I had to mention that this is a draw as well!
- Prestige is available to multiple dealers in every Florida market including their window film depot blind people. Lumenesse is only available through the Success With Lumenesse Florida Dealers hand selected by Geoshield. We are proud to have been selected!
- Dare to compare.
We will install our Lumenesse right next to their thinner prestige 70. Judge for yourself. Optical clarity, hue, and impact and wind cycling tested and passed results versus their prestige 70 ultra films.

I understand that a thinker film such as the Lumeness is able is better able to physically protect a window than a thinner 2 mil film. But, how noticeable is the thicker film. For example, if one window has a 8 mil film and another has a 2 mil film, how hard would it be to pick out which is which? (assuming all other aspects of the film are equal)
Is a different adhesive used with the thicker film?

It's `impossible to 'see' the difference and yes the adhesives are thicker and generally more aggressive.
