I guess I'll always associate Hurricane Ike with my recent health issues. Timing, more than anything. It did however force me to watch TV during and after the storm beyond anything that would otherwise be considered "normal."

The meds affected my concentration or I'd have read a book or two. Fuzzy brained; I now understand how some of my competitors feel on a daily basis!

The Hurricane is headed to Galveston.

The EM officials warn of dire outcome (DEATH) and officials estimate that 40% of the residents did not follow these instructions.

RIGHT??

How many people got washed away that night?

Is it possible that??

How would government officials know, one way or the other?

Is there anyone else out there that fears there are thousands of people who will never be found?

There has GOT to be a better way to handle these evacuation issues in the future without compromising constitutional rights.

I just hope I am wrong.
