3M Prestige Vs Huper Optik Window Film
The following video's demonstrate what window film experts have already known; the Prestige Film (Crystalline) has a limited hard coat and their tinted versions 40, 50 and 60 color can be easily ripped off or scratched off with an abrasive surface sponge.
It appears that whomever did this video (we know who!!) appropriately used a 3M Scotch Brite sponge!
Flat glass applications in Prestige suffer from the exact same inherent weaknesses. The tint is easily removed by wear, scratching and even a dog's tongue (SERIOUSLY!)
Watch and please enjoy! I sure did!

Why is this important?

Hi Mike, these YouTube demos are disturbing! How can a product like this even make it onto the market? I can just picture a painter using a tape to mask the window and become responsible for damaging this very expensive film, poor bugger! What about regular cleaning over time? Oh well, lucky for our customers,we use Huper Optik! Perhaps we need to show the demo to people asking for 3M? After all, the customer must have a choice, right?

Great points. .but...
Objectively a consumer will doubt what we advise them believing instead that we are loading the dice against 3M.
Caveat Emptor!
I like the mock up comparison. Side-by-side comparison on the glass. How can Huper lose?
It can't.

Nice demo. What's the difference between Prestige and Crystalline?

It appears they are the same product being marketed as Prestige for flat glass and Crystalline for the auto market.
Essentially the same product in two different boxes.

Video's gone but just try the scratch test or the tape rip test for yourself on prestige or crystalline.

We understand that Danny's Car Wash in Phoenix may have removed their video that was filmed by Hugh Hernandez.
My suggestion? Call Hugh and ask him how that Prestige/Crystalline deal is working for him?

How can I see the videos?

I gather that they pulled their videos under some pressure. The point is made and quite obvious. The 3M scratch coating on Prestige and their car film version is wanting (to say the least).
