From The Heart- Advice
5:21 AM as I write this entry on a Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008.
I made it through another hospital visit by having an ICD implant to protect me from SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest)

So far, so good although it hurts like a %^$#@!
It appears my basketball days are over for at least the next 5 weeks!
No sympathy for me; that is not why I am writing this!
I never knew that sudden cardiac arrest was a completely different animal than a heart attack!
SUDDEN CARDIAC DEATH VS. HEART ATTACK
Cardiac arrest, or sudden cardiac death (SCD), happens when a heart rhythm disturbance prevents the heart from operating properly and delivering blood to the brain and other vital organs.
A heart attack occurs when a partial or complete vessel blockage interferes with the ability of blood to flow to the heart, and heart muscle dies.
Cardiac arrest, or sudden cardiac death (SCD), is NOT a heart attack, but a prior heart attack can put someone at risk for SCD.
I had a heart attack 10 weeks ago; which has increased the risk that I might have a SCA.
Here's my rather obvious advice:
Now obviously I would have loved to simply yap about window film.
Not to worry; when is the exciting universe of window film off of my mind?
I'll get right back to Advanced Film Solutions just as soon as my painkiller meds wear off!
Special thank you to all of my friends out there. I only pray that I can return the love and concern back to you some day (hopefully under better circumstances!)
Be happy!
Mike

Here's my rather obvious advice:
- Have regular check-ups
- If you ever have chest pain call 911 quickly.
- Learn CPR
- Have faith in a positive outcome. It may not fix the problem but it sure makes life happier!
