Love That Muddy Water

Giving credit where credit is due (tongue firmly in cheek of course), I noticed that Window Film Depot bragged about installing a huge building in Boston

Evidently this Atlanta based 3M dealer that I recruited (back in 1997 or was it 1998?) has now become 3M's "largest and most successful" dealer across the entire USA!

Huge congrats!!

Sincerely!!

Amazing.

Here in Tampa (The Depot folks call it T-Town for some reason??),  Advanced Film Solutions loves to compete against all window tinting companies.

Many consumers recognize that 3M Brand and we graciously suggest that you call these folks for a competitive quote from this, 3M's finest T-Town Dealer.

Yes. . we'd love to show you how we can beat 3M's T-Towns Best!

Yes. .

That's right.

Like just like Michael Phelps we love to compete and win!!

Call them; than call Advanced Film Solutions

We have removed huge amounts of failed 3M low-e film. Wonder if the engineers figured that into their calculations.

      Frankly I doubt it.

LOW E Films are an area that all the window film manufacturer's need to improve upon.  I had hoped that the nanotechnology would somehow enable a better facility for keeping heat in a building.  These films tend to last only 5 years or so .

Here in Tampa we have no experience with LOW E and generally no dealer in FL should install their or ours!

I was actually teasing my Atlanta friends of course.  They really are not an active Tampa dealer - -or T Town. They work with their Budget Blinds friends.  When I say consumers should call them I am being sarcastic because they would be so easy to beat compared to the real 3M dealer in Tampa Solar Security.  Did I say that?

In Boston?? My vote is for the 3M Dealer is American Window Film and Pete Davey!

      But. .

Who cares what I think?? Aside from me?

Yes, the 3M film we've removed failed at about the 5 year mark. I've always said if this building had gone with the right film and dealer originally, they wouldn't be paying us to remove and replace it (with a superior competing film).

Many 3M dealers have expressed ill feelings about how your "friends" represent themselves as something they aren't.

There has yet to be a "stable" Low E film released to market. Not only do these films have short lifecycles, you have to use great care and specific mounting solutions when you apply them or there will be problems. Engineers should look for a 2yr ROI or better and hopefully in the remaining 3 yrs of life they will have accumulated enough money in energy savings to pay for the next removal-n-replacement. It's a vicious circle.
