Carpe Diem Window Film?
7/24/10

Still kicking.
I wrote the posting below nearly a year and a half ago.
Back then, I couldn't go a day without thinking about my mortality.
That hasn't changed.
You grow more confident, that is until you get a cramp or feel slightly off.
Then you worry.
Then you move on.
This week we installed our films in 17 homes this week and I lost count of the number of cars.
We increased our Orlando sales to the point where Tampa and Orlando were neck and neck.
Our Window Film USA group closed a large project in Charlotte and we quietly bid a large project that we might actually win!
(Lessons learned- -I never count on these 800 Lb Gorillas!)
And. .
Once every so often I actually get a kick out of this business!
Still. .
It's Carpe' Diem

Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.
Here's a tee shirt I have been looking at.
It describes my present circumstances.

I prefer the Carpe Diem shirt.

We rarely live our life in the "moment."
Rather we act as though we will go on forever. This tends to change when you face your Maker.
Nothing is ever the same; and things, people that you took for granted are now much more precious.
This philosophy might tend to make some people hang around a beach?
After all; in a few weeks I can officially retire from 3M.
Up until now this has been a transitional retirement. I can say emphatically that my time on the beach was and will be limited.
I am sure that my former 3M colleagues would agree with me; that I didn't fade away.

No there are better ways for me to spend my days. I wouldn't want my old buddies to think things would ever be the same for them anywhere in the USA.
That's why we launched Windowfilmusa.com
It's our way of shaking up their stodgy world of window film.
This economy has every business challenging assumptions and doing autopsies on their business plans.
This isn't your granddaddy's quiet world any longer.
No detail is too small.
No win is unimportant.
We make our own reality.
Carpe Diem , it is.
Are you ready?
