Happy Moms Day!
My Mom and Dad are both gone.
No matter how old or young you are; you still feel like an orphan. Sort of like you moved into the main examination room. . next in line toward infinity. This is certainly more true for me the last year than ever before. It got me thinking of some of the people I've met in window film who are no longer around but I have fond memories of.
Mike Roeder in Detroit who won the CNA Building and the MN -St. Paul Airport. Younger than me and a heck of a lot better looking.
He was an advocate for dealer rights who argued against 3M for trying to take a project from him and bid it direct. We both were on the same side during that time and despite the odds he won.
Gary Young in Cincinnati who was the guy who was always the life of the party. He had more energy and personality than anyone I have ever met in window film. He was two years younger than I am now when he passed.
Mom's Day used to be the time for getting flowers for my Mom or a Hallmark Card.
Now it's for thanking my kids Mom for being the best Mommy ever; and for all the Mom's out there for putting up with us Daddy's!
