Whew! What A Week For Window Film!
This was one of those Fairy Tale weeks I dreamed about when I exited 3M.
Winning by doing a better job of meeting the clients requirements and quite frankly being better able to answer every question the prospective customer might pose about window film.
Here's my advice for window film dealers across the USA:
Learn more about your products and their performance on glass.
Do yourself a huge favor and begin asking questions from the dwindling number of successful dealers or find a rare manufacturer sales reps that knows what they are talking.
I know. .that won't be easy.
Here's Your Technical Manager. He can teach you how to sell that nano-oodle stuff!
Talk to the techie propeller heads at the home office wherever that office might be.
(Of course if the stuff you're selling is a re-boxed Korean film or Chinese you may need to brush up on your language skills or hire a translator!)
They seem to have a nose for nickel! Or is that Titanium?
You might have been able to baffle your clients in the past with nonsense or total BS; but the Internet has broken that model completely. That is particularly true if you are competing against me.
You'd assume that if this is your livelihood you'd try to be proficient?
How about somewhat versed in your own tinting solutions?
Alas;
Now I know you all convince yourselves that sales stink simply because of the economy.
Boo Hoo. .
It's Obama's Fault. . .
Those darn Wall St. Crooks!
Isn't that what you tell yourself and your bosses during your CYA Meetings?
Pause and think of me. Let my taunting stay with you a moment. Breathe it all in. .
Let me motivate you a bit. . .
Happy Labor Day!
Catch me at the Tampa Home Show. .having fun while you take care of that barbecue!

Alas;
- Thank you my competition for failure to properly train your own dealers and sales reps.
- Thank you for pretending you have factory trained your dealers (we know better don't we?)
- Thank you for confusing your own channel by giving them partial information rather than facts.
Now I know you all convince yourselves that sales stink simply because of the economy.

Let me motivate you a bit. . .
- You fail because you are lazy and incompetent.
- You lose because you do not prepare.
- You suffer because you have forgotten who your customer really is!
- Bigger doesn't win any more! Smarter-Faster-Better Able To Adapt Is What Wins Today.
- Brands Do Matter; But they Ain't Everything. The Solution Has To Equal That Brand- When It Does Not -You Are The Fool That Loses.
Happy Labor Day!

Nice blog, very relevant to current issues. Hey, is that a blue morpho butterfly in the unicorn picture? Nice touch, where do you find these pics?

Feldman, I have just discovered this piece of work. And I thought Clyde Wall was pretty good at stroking the Googles. This is truly masterful. Of all of the deranged characters in this business, you stand out from the crowd. I'll drop in on you sometime when you least expect it.
