The IR Wars - Or How Korea Out Did Window Film Fibs

. . .97, 98, 99 %

The Koreans were represented by numerous companies that displayed their wares at this weeks SEMA show.

They claim to  have out IR'd the exagerrated claims made by 3M Prestige
.

After all 3M claims to block 97% of the infrared and unfortunately many of their dealers tell clients they block 97% of the heat??

Later they added an asterisk* and tiny print claiming they actually blocked 97% of the IR between *900-1000 NM (seriously!) pretending this disclaimer actually has some import.

This weak willed industry cried foul and issued white paper after white paper. That didn't stop'em.

The NFRC's objective criteria comparing specific performance on the exact same glass configurations measuring TSER and Shading Coefficient had no effect!

So it's no wonder that the Koreans have taken that nonsense and now state emphatically that they block 99% of the same narrow wavelength.  Eureka!!

                    Tired of false claims?

If they keep going they will shortly out-perform all films at that silly angle test or claim motivation by Monarch Butterflies.

Caveat Emptor  100% of the time!

Consumers have to be vigilant and that's why Window Film USA and Advanced Film Solutions promote Huper Optik nano-ceramic films.

Factual NFRC rated performance. Non-reflective-patented and effective.
