The Tinternet - Window Film Gets Creative In 2010
I got a kick the other day when someone from New York told one of my "people" that their marketing people thought I was "a window tinting marketing genius!"
Who am I to argue?
I'll admit that that statement did gave me a chuckle since those that know me best also know that I've never considered myself much of a marketer. In my 3M days I'd sit through endless meetings listening to "marketing types" spew nonsense that they picked up during their recent education. They had charts and graphs. They seemed particularly charmed by that dude named Maslow? Perhaps it was all that Six Sigma bullshit that infected my brain?
How do you spell D- MANIAC
I wish we were on the cover of TIME. BTW does anyone really read TIME anymore?
Given my background of all things tint and all tintological areas of research and understanding; here are the most tinteresting things to look forward to in 2010.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

How do you spell D- MANIAC

Given my background of all things tint and all tintological areas of research and understanding; here are the most tinteresting things to look forward to in 2010.
- The battle for the minds and hearts of window tinting shops will be fought at the low end. The various manufacturers that can make a low cost film will duke it out in the gutter.
- The Federal Recovery dollars will spur retrofit government jobs throughout the USA. Basic silver and neutral films will lower the price points even further.
- Housing recovery should spur sales of flat glass by 15%

- Cash Flow will be a huge challenge in 2010 for all players.
- There will be wholesale changes in management at several companies where they over promised and under delivered (as usual!)

- Pay Per Click has exhausted it's welcome. The drain is in the kitchen sink and that's about where all your $$ is headed if that is your marketing plan.
- Window Film in Florida will show double digit increases and some familiar faces will be right behind the resurgence.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Mike
