Orlando Home Show Day One
Of course you try to grab the best booth position when you make these arrangements. Get that corner booth; or that row that assume everyone will turn to when they arrive all fresh, clean and ready to buy window film.
Your neighbors can be an advantage or a disadvantage or simply plain annoy you.
We happen to be two booths down from someone selling a Lexan window. The entire demo is a stocky lady pulling a bowling ball up on a chain and thumping it against her demo window.
I assume this window is designed to keep a bowler out of a home??
Thump!
Thump!
Thump!
All Day
Thump!
Right across from me is a Healthy Cooking Booth where they sell pots and pans for more than I would do an entire house for in Vista Film!
Did you know that stainless steel dog bowls are mandated in the USA yet people eat from aluminum pans??
To the left is a booth selling some type of foam seal. Obviously the person in the booth could care less about their company goals and more about how nice it was outside. This person sat in the booth all day and only spoke to one person. Talk about motivated!
But I digress:
We are once again in battle with 3M's best dealer Engineered Sun. (They say they are the best- -not me!)
Of course-these are the same folks who sell the same exact prestige film through Home Depot at a much higher price.
Imagine buying this stuff from Depot and finding you could have paid far less for the very same product by making one phone call to the other 3M dealer?
Better yet for two phone calls you can have a better film- -877-575-3456
Nice booth, heavy on those 3M logo's.
The mandatory IR lamp demo that gives the illusion of performance. (I brought a IR lamp too but when people ask me to show them how our film beats 3M- -I simply explain how they were just tricked!)
They seem fixated on their "superior warranty"?
Telling passerby's that 3M has the best warranty and that who knows where the other company's warranty is coming from?
Damn I should have brought a bottle of Windex!!!
So a warranty from a company with a small market share for window film, residential and commercial sales, has a better warranty than Solutia who sells more film in a month than they do all year?
I simply do not get it?
Ah. .but that's why I have so much fun doing window film.
The old guy still has some vim and vigor to stand 11 hours yapping about window film. .
Where else could I have this much fun?
