Selecting The Right Window Tinting For Florida Homes
I have to remind myself every so often that being a "know it all" window film guy I might take too much for granted when doing home or commercial estimates.
After all I did spend 33 years at 3M and when I was the National Sales Manager of 3M Window Film. I spent a heck of a lot of time doing competitive comparisons.
I knew back then that 3M had (HAS?) the most recognizable logo in the industry and that made consumers feel comfortable. I was also keenly aware that our market share was smaller than most people could ever imagine and that 90% plus of all the window film sold in the USA had another manufacturer's brand on the box!
I also knew which window films we repackaged as our own!!
Obviously I also recognized which films out performed our offering and by the time I launched Advanced Film Solutions I was chomping at the bit to take on all of my former 3M dealers.
Four years and nearly 4300 projects later ;and having added several window films to our portfolio, I would estimate that no one has more direct window film knowledge than me.
So it's small wonder that I might go off on a tangent when someone who is a window film novice asks me a question comparing one brand of window film to another.
Many prospective clients have done their research before I walked in the door. They are looking for facts rather than baloney. And when it comes to window film facts and minutia- -well no one can hold a candle to me!
Here's my bottom line:

- We have reflective films that are undoubtedly economical but the downside is the shininess added to your glass day and particularly at night.
- We offer dual reflective films that cut down the reflectivity considerably on the interior view. Your Night vision is maintained.
- We offer non reflective films that are super bargains for heat rejection without compromising interior or exterior views.
- If you prefer we offer thicker 8 ML safety and security window films that all surpass the tested performance of 3M Scotchshield films (solar versions)
