My industry sources advise that Sun Gard (Solamatrix ) is not part of this acquisition. I have reasonable confidence in this source.

Solutia the manufacturer of VISTA, FormulaOne and LLumar has acquired Solomatrix .
Solomatrix operates under the brands of Huper Optik, V-Kool and Sun Gard.
This opens new opportunities in the Pacific Rim as well as Asian and Latin American markets.
Obviously we will have to wait until the dust settles but my initial reaction is that this is a powerful move by Solutia to solidify their industry leadership and add new channels and technologies.
It raises the bar for competitive manufacturers who have all been struggling recently to compete against CP Films and low cost films from Asia.
