Constant Ripping Caused Carpel Tunnel Window Tinting?

For years 3M Window Film Dealers in Florida have tried to convince consumers that their Scotchshield Ultra films were stronger than the rest of the solar security window film industry by ripping their film.

They ripped in your home. .

They ripped at the local Home Shows. .

They ripped and ripped and ripped.

And ripped some more

In the face of facts like their ultra films did not pass the ASTM 1886 in any solar version they ripped.

Consumers were impressed with their ripping. After all a thinner film with rip stop micro-layers versus a thicker film that seemed to rip easily was no contest!!

Rip - -Rip- -Rip. .

Well all that ripping has had a negative consequence on the wrists of these 3M dealers. Repetitive motions of twisting the hand in a ripping fashion, over and over created stress.

Wrist bands couldn't help at all.

When pressed by consumers about their failure to have the same puncture strength or tensile strength of the thicker competitive films they could only try ripping harder and faster.

Consumers would ask: Hey when a window breaks it doesn't really rip does it?

Undeterred they ripped some more.

Well the ripping days may be over since 3M has elected to re-package some other companies thicker film to compete against the stronger films here in Florida.

The wrists will be rested
