Race Day Recollections

The July 4th Holiday always reminds me of the three consecutive years that I spent at the Pepsi 400 (now known as the Coke Zero 400 )

Back in 2002 I was the National Sales Manager of 3M Window Film.  The company had created local state sales connections to increase cross divisional cooperation between 3M sales people.

I had always been an advocate of joint selling opportunities particularly since window film had such a small market share for 3M and our larger divisions like Consumer Products, Commercial Graphics and Industrial Tapes could certainly aid my team's selling opportunities.

As part of being the Sales Leader for the Orlando Team we decided to sponsor the hospitality suite at Daytona Speedway for this Nascar event.

While most people were enjoying their barbecue I spent the next three July 4th holidays hosting the suite and watching the 400!

I was one of those folks who had never watched a Nascar event until then.

I was smitten!

You know what I was watching this weekend!
