Changing The Window Tinting Specification- Competing Against A Paper Tiger

Just about six weeks ago we heard that there was a large bid for Low E window film in the Denver area.

The specification was somehow built around the 3M LE35 AMARL film and the square footage was impressive.

The only problem with that specification is the fact that the film performance isn't that impressive.

How to change that specification so that the client understands there is a film with nearly twice the winter insulating benefits and better heat rejection in the summer?

How do you position a superior warranty (15 years versus five years)  EnerLogic versus  the 3M film?

When does fact, performance, NFRC certification and  objective criteria triumph over a "perception" based on a logo?

Let's just say it took determination and a team approach but the spec' was changed and now EnerLogic is the only film that will be allowed on that building.

That's Smart!

Fortunately building managers and property owners understand that Solutia Performance Films are the undisputed industry sales leader and innovation leader.

They can download specifications from numerous sources that demonstrate the quantifiable superiority of our films.

The fact that a side by side comparison isn't even close makes that challenge a whole lot easier.

Of course many homeowners don't have this knowledge base or years of purchasing experience in window films.  That's our challenge as VISTA Dealers in our local marketplace.

Window Film USA has the capabilities and the experience to meet our clients requirements.

We know which films will do the best job on your windows in keeping out the heat or cold.
