Land O' Lakes Home Cooler, Energy Efficient Vista & Huper Optik Window Film
Our client lives in a beautiful home in an exclusive Gated Community nestled in Land O' Lakes, Florida.
The front of their home faces South and gets baked by the Sun throughout the hottest time of the day. In the afternoon their Western exposure heats up their bedrooms making these rooms unlivable despite the air conditioning running 24/7.
This homeowner did solid research on various methods for lowering the heat. They looked into expensive window upgrades; but each window replaced would cost $1000. The cost to replace their single pane glass was prohibitive.
They compared window film alternatives and selected several local companies to measure and offer a quotation.
Obviously we won.
We proposed a combination of energy efficient films that provided the exact requirements for this customer. On the front of their home they will have our Huper Optik Ceramic Film. This film qualifies for Progress Energy rebates and the fact that there is no metallic reflectivity meets their strict homeowner association rules.
The rear windows and side windows of the home will have Vista dual reflective films . This will decrease the heat gain by nearly 75% and provide daytime privacy for the windows that face their neighbors windows.
We also recommended our thicker Vista shatter film to protect the rear doors off thjeir lanai. These doors are a weak entry point in terms of security. Now with an 8 ML thick version of VISTA, forced entry will be much more difficult!
Our 3M competition offered "their Affinity Film" for all of their windows. This film is highly reflective on the exterior and would have violated their deed restriction. Their warranty was not transferable and they neglected to inform the client about rebates, etc.
And considering the limitations of this film they were priced much higher (which is entirely their right to quote!)
Our crew is there right now completing the installation and their home will be cooler, glare free with UV nearly eliminated by this afternoon.
