2011 Hurricane Season Starts Today-Tampa Gets Ready
Back in the day the start of Hurricane Season would be the harbinger for security film sales increases for Florida.
During the 1990's and particularly after Hurricane Andrew, window film sales skyrocketed as consumers looked for lower cost methods to provide wind storm protection.
These were the good old days culminating in record breaking sales in 2004 and 2005.
With all that talk about global warming and its effect on warmer ocean currents we have not had a major wind event since Hurricane Wilma in 2005.
Well. . .
Our weather experts are beating their Hurricane Drums loudly.
The warmer waters coupled with the el nino effect have these folks projecting a very busy season.
I'd love to beat that drum as well but after all these years of raised concern and fuss that resulted in a few rain events. .
So here's my deal:
