We Remember

There are no words to soothe the pain and suffering so many felt that day ten years ago.

We all have our stories about where we were when we heard the tragic news.

It seems like yesterday but so many things have changed these last ten years.

I recall the long drive home from St. Paul, Minnesota to Tampa with my friend Mike Cunningham.

We left before dawn deciding to take a rental car on a detour through the country; dropping him off at his home in Germantown, TN then on through Birmingham and eventually back to the Tampa airport.

When I returned the keys at the Tampa Hertz counter I apologized for the unauthorized trip and the Hertz lady said "No problem; the guy ahead of you just drove from Seattle!"

On this day our prayers go out to the loved one's of those who lost their lives and to those brave men and women who defend our Nation and for the greatest nation on Earth; the United States Of America.

Kind'a puts everything in perspective doesn't it?
